Advice from a Newbie

Here is some advice on what to do for taking English 101a. Any student taking this course should try to boost their class attendance if there were flaws in it at first. Students will need to be more attentive in class discussions, and should also try stepping into the class room with a clear mind, so that they can focus on the task(s) ahead. Another key aspect of attendance is actually making it to class, and this can be very troublesome for many students, but if you miss out on a day of class it is really hard to grasp what was taught on that day. People new to English 101a should also converse with their professors. Professors are just like human beings with maybe some super powered brains, nevertheless they are still only humans, so don’t assume that they will know every single problem that you face, but as students it is important to remember that there are many others just like you in the class, so it is good if you make appointments with your professor to talk about your strengths and weaknesses. I personally hate stepping into any of my professor’s offices because I just feel I’m walking into a trap where criticism is on the menu for the day, but don’t fear as I have come to learn that these professors aren’t dragons out to eat me alive, but people who want to help with education. Scheduling is also another key element if anyone wants a passing grade in any subject they take. Make sure that a proper timetable is made in order to tackle tasks ahead without receiving a red card such as: completing assignments on time, reviewing topics that might cause trouble and preparing for quizzes. Scheduling is also needed because at times it becomes really easy to underestimate the great nemesis “Time”. One minute it’s there and the other it’s gone that’s how time works, so scheduling can help to organize events and necessities for class without forgetting much or leaving much.

What makes Something or Someone Cool

Cool people are people with rare features ,and as a result are also acknowledged among their peers for being extraordinary. Cool people posses the ability to understand when to take that one leap of faith that will lead to results and not to shame or misfortune. A cool person often posses the ability to lead others as he/she will be looked up no by others who are in need of guidance or who are simply glory hunters. In order to be considered as cool you'll have to make bold decisions, choices that might affect your life; this is something that cool people do on a daily basis, and something that the ordinary struggle with as they are afraid of being judged even though they had nothing to lose in the first place.
Something cool has to possess not only rare qualities but must also captivate the minds of they people who witness these qualities. Now technology in today's society must have that finesse look about it that you won't find on another module of its kind. Technology must also posses that one feature in it that has either never been seen before or has been improved upon since its earlier modules. Other than Technology another cool thing can also be a new event. A new even whether is be a party, a game or another form of entertainment can be considered as cool if it has special musical vibe to it, a new form of dance, a special way to dress or just the food. In order for an even to be cool it must consist of that special moment where most of the people attending will be compelled to visit again or to never forget how much of a great time they had.

for anyone who is reading my blog please don't click on any links and no I am not a bad brother I will soon give my little brother a new TV just tell him to stop beating me on FIFA.

Am I failing on my new years resolutions?

So at the beginning of my Engl 101 class my lovely professor asked her class to make resolutions for the new year. I am a bit disappointing as my resolutions weren't as good as the resolution on my brother's TV is, and that isn't really impressing as his television screen isn't working. I had hoped that by this time of the year I'd be off the procrastination train and on the immediately train, but I'm still tangled in this web that is so sticky. Now on the other hand which is my right hand I have significantly improved on scheduling. I have now been able to map out my activities, but it seems that I'm still stuck in that dark ally waiting to come out and be free from the bondage of seeing the piece of paper and then being challenged by distractions. Making my timetable has come in very handy for my over the past few weeks and I seriously feel that I am improving in this area but making the time is a lot harder than just making the plan. I have always been in a never ending battle with time and it has often placed me in illusions where I think I have the upper hand or that I am winning, but slowly that illusion is coming to reality. I also wanted to learn more about the American school system as it is a bit more advanced that what I'm used to, so that I can not cause a lag in any of my classes; now I am wishing I did more research about that flu shot.  I feel that I am doing better where paying attention in classes is concerned; not sure if it's because I have a low number of friends in school here or because of a higher level of maturity which I highly doubt, but I no longer check my phone in class which is a big surprise and even though I am a very shy person I now find myself participating in productive class conversations more. All I need to do now in order to pass my classes is to just stop procrastinating, be a little more active in class, schedule a bit better and believe a little more.

Meeting Deadlines

Deadlines aren't my thing, it seems that I'm just never comfortable with meeting them. I did do some strategical work on how I'd meet my deadlines but it seems that the older I get the harder these deadlines are to keep, with more pressure and more important things clustered in my life It's at times a nightmare. My main struggle with meeting deadlines is priorities, I simply don't juggle well by  always putting something of lesser significance above what mattes more and then only realizing my mistakes when it is almost too late. Other than my what seems to be always a near death situations with deadlines I think I'll be fine, already started making a new time sheet to try and cluster and categories the work that I need to do in order to co-op with the tasks included in my life
